Jasmine Lake

MA, Counseling Psychology

Congratulations on getting this far in finding a therapist! Let's see if this page gets you one step further.

My name is Jasmine and I help humans navigate this thing called life and all of the challenges that come with it. My approach is trauma informed, meaning I help you at your own pace to feel safe, explore, grow, and heal. Together, we will engage in a co-creative process, a process in which you are guided to your own internal wisdom and encouraged to identify how you would like to incorporate this wisdom into your daily life. My space is LGBTQAI+ friendly, and I welcome people across the life span.

In my experience, the real barrier to progress is fear: fear of judgment, fear of change, fear of overwhelm and fear of success. It's ok to be afraid. Let's treat any fear with the respect it deserves, ease it and get you feeling ready to address what needs addressing.

I frequently work with people struggling with the following concerns:

  • Interpersonal Struggles (family, work, relationships)

  • Life Transitions

  • Grief/Loss

  • Identity Concerns (racial, gender, sexuality, etc.)

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • PTSD and Complex Trauma

  • Sexual Abuse

  • Addiction

  • Spiritual Exploration

Depending on your needs, I can help you:

  • Bridge the gap between insight and action

  • Improve relationship/social skills

  • Get you more comfortable with vulnerability

  • Make peace with your inner critic (oh, it’s possible)

  • Better understand your own patterns

  • Manage emotions

  • Navigate impulsivity

  • Diversify your coping skills (afterall, what works one day might not work the next day)

  • Clarify what is important to you

My approach is Integrative, Client Led and Solution Focused (when appropriate), using a combination of insight work and practical application of tools. A session might include meditation, grounding, breath work, expressive arts, somatic work, role play, or simply talking. I will work in whichever way you're most comfortable while challenging you to explore new perspectives and ways of being.

It is my sincerest hope you walk away from our sessions feeling seen, accepted, and empowered.
