I believe that people have the power to heal themselves. We know what is best for us. However, when life becomes difficult and we start to feel stuck, we may need a little bit of extra support. My goal in therapy is to provide a safe place for you to better understand yourself. I aim to listen to your story without judgment. I also aim to explore your world together so that you don’t feel lost. We work collaboratively to help you become more open and be okay with where you are at so that you can live towards the life that you find meaningful.

I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and understand how different environments and systems can influence individuals, especially those from marginalized populations. I incorporate multicultural and feminist perspectives to explore together not only what goes on inside you, such as your thoughts and feelings, but also how systemic and social injustice may have impacted you and your experiences. I hope to create a space where you can find your power and strength to achieve what you want in your life.

Some of the topics I have addressed in sessions involve culture and cultural identity, racial/ethnic identity, gender and sexual identity, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, stress, trauma/PTSD, academic and work-related concerns, relationship concerns, and self-acceptance. I offer both individual psychotherapy and psychological testing. Finding and contacting a therapist can often be difficult, so I thank you for considering me in this process.
