MA, PsYD, psychotherapist

When you are in psychological distress and someone really hears you without passing judgement, without trying to take responsibility, without trying to mold you, the impact can be profound. I strive to be genuine, prizing, and empathic in the therapeutic relationship to provide a safe space that allows for you to be truly heard. My ideal client is one who is open to doing the difficult work. Yes, if we do the work then life becomes an opportunity to love, and live.

As a therapist, my focus is psychosis and personality, however I have worked with adults experiencing difficult life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, identity issues (race, gender, sexuality). I have experience with helping individuals develop skills in such areas as; mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal awareness, and relapse prevention.

I’ve received my education from Roosevelt University and The Illinois School of Professional Psychology. My style of practice is grounded in client-centered theory with a multi-cultural perspective, fostering a space for you to be open and genuine as I am with you. I am also versed in cognitive behavioral interventions, having completed parts of my training at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital. Change is never easy, but always possible.
